Kimberly Michelle Pattison, 36 of Laguna Hills, passed away on April 15, 2021 after a brief illness. She was born at Hoag Hospital in Newport Beach, CA on April 16, 1985 to Bob Pattison and Peggy Pattison, nee Barbour. Kim grew up with her younger brother, Bobby Pattison, whom she adored.
She attended Mission Viejo High School and Capo Valley High School where she graduated in 2003 where she had a passion for art and music. She also enjoyed playing Soft Ball and Soccer during that time.
Kim had lots of cousins who were her best friends growing up. Later she became friends with numerous people, particularly those from church where she participated in the St. Kilian Youth, (SKY) and with the theater ministry (GAP), where she enjoyed performing in several musicals such as “Godspell” and “Children of Eden”, to name a few. A friend of hers noted that Kim never met a stranger because they instantly became a friend.
Kim loved children and taught Vacation Bible School for several years. She cherished the notes and cards she received to “Miss Kimmi”. The children loved her as much as she loved them. She recently had assisted with the startup Children’s Ministry at the Mariners Neighborhood Church in Laguna Hills.
She was employed for 17 years with Albertsons but recently decided to move on to something different. Kim recently started Nursing School with the intention of becoming a pediatric nurse because she loved helping children.
As an adult she continued with her love of children by packing shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child. She became the Volunteer Student Relations Coordinator for South Orange County where she encouraged schools and youth groups to pack shoeboxes that would be delivered to children in need around the world and would demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way.
She loved animals and cared for many different pets over the years. She particularly loved dogs. Her favorite was Athena, a mixed breed of questionable ancestry. Goofy and lovable, Athena will now be living with Kim’s brother, Bobby, and Athena’s doggie cousins.
Services were held at Mariners Church, Irvine
She will rest at Fairhaven Memorial Park in Santa Ana near her Grandparents Bob and Doris Pattison, John and Peggy Barbour and her Aunt Julie Barbour.
