Lois Lee Bowman passed away on Thursday, September 12, 2019, at the age of 96; she went peacefully to meet her Creator and Savior in Heaven for whom she was longing to go into His presence for so long.
Lois was born in Paw Paw, Illinois on March 6, 1923 – her parents were John and Bessie Carter and had a younger sister, Mary Jensen. The family moved to Sycamore, Illinois when Lois was in her Junior High School. She met her husband Lloyd Eugene Bowman at First Baptist Church of Sycamore. Lloyd was sent to serve in Okinawa Japan through the US Marine Corp right after meeting Lois and most of their dating time was by letters until he came back from the war. Lois and Lloyd married in 1945. They moved to California with their three children in 1956.
Lois was a faithful child of God, a loving daughter and sister; she loved her husband Lloyd, who passed away 42 years ago on 9/13/1977. She was a loving mother of three: Bonnie Hale, David and John Bowman. She was a dear grandma and great grandma.
Lois served the Lord Jesus, her Savior, through her church First Southern Baptist Church in Orange by leading women in Sunday School Bible studies, played the piano and sang in the choir.
We can only imagine the wonderful welcoming by Her Lord Jesus and the amazing reunion in Heaven with her loved ones that preceded her in that ultimate journey. She was loved and will be greatly missed.
