He was a loving son, husband, father, uncle, grandfather and friend and will be deeply missed.
Louie was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. He served his country honorably as a third-generation member of the New York State Army National Guard, where he trained as an Infantryman, completing basic training at Ft. Dix, New Jersey and Advanced Infantry Training at Ft. Ord, California. He was proud of his military service and always held a deep respect for his fellow servicemen and women.
He moved to California in the 1970’s with his young family and went on to have an extended career with the City of Santa Ana and the County of Orange.
Louie was a happy and carefree person who lived life to the fullest. He cherished his family and absolutely adored his grandchildren – he would truly light up when talking to them or about them. His joyful spirit and zest for life were infectious and people loved to be around him. He had a deep love for the ocean and fishing, the Baja Peninsula and the good times and great friends he met there, as well as a passion for target shooting and vintage cars.
Louie is survived by his beloved wife Lucy, and by his three sons Gregory, Christopher, and Alexander from his previous marriage to their mother, Maria. He is also survived by Lucy’s daughter Christina. He was preceded in death by his father, Constantine (Gus), and by his mother, Louise.
Louie's memory will forever be cherished by his family, friends and all those who had the privilege of knowing him.
May Louie rest in peace, knowing that his legacy of love, happiness, and devotion to family will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
