Eileen Bowie Stein Eileen died peacefully at her Palm Springs home on January 26, 2017 less than a month before her 91st birthday. She was predeceased by her first husband Len Bowie (1983) and by her second husband Howard M. Stein (2013), and by her daughter Vicki Bowie Summers (2012). She will be sadly missed by her son Ian Bowie, her son-in-law Larry Summers (Carol), and her three grandchildren Greg, Sarah and Matthew Summers. Eileen also leaves her sisters Marie and Corinne (Elliott) and her brothers Barry (Deb) and Raymond, as well as several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, February 3rd in the Waverly Chapel at Fairhaven Memorial Park (1702 Fairhaven Avenue, Santa Ana), followed immediately by a reception. Eileen’s long and very interesting life was marked by her devotion to family, her adventurous spirit and her many travels. She will be remembered for her keen intellect, her generosity and her care of the people she loved and who love her so much.
