It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Maurine Evette Armenta who departed prematurely on September 24, 2023. Maurine was a cherished daughter, loving mother, devoted sister, fun loving Tia and a loyal friend, who’s presence brought warmth and light to all who had the opportunity of knowing her. Her sudden departure has left a void in our lives that can never be filled, but her memory will continue to shine brightly in our hearts.
Born January 5, 1967, Maurine was a radiant soul, spreading love, warmth and laughter wherever she went. Her smile could brighten the day, and her laughter was infectious. She had an extraordinary capacity for love and a way of making everyone feel truly special. As the first born daughter, she was always there to help in any way she could. She was quite a crafty being that could make something spectacular out of nothing. As a mother, she was a mama bear whose love knew no bounds. She always made sure her kids were loved and protected. She was a sister whose bond was unbreakable and as a Tia she made special memories that will last a lifetime. Her friends had a gift of true loyalty as Maurine would give the jacket off her back.
Maurine poured her heart and soul into being a loving mother, guiding and nurturing her children with unwavering dedication. She provided them with the tools to navigate life’s challenges and encouraged them to follow their dreams. Her legacy lives on through the values and lessons she instilled in them.
Her life was a testament to the power of love and the impact one person can have on the lives of others. For over 30 years, she has chosen the selfless act to save a life by being a donor. We are all proud of the miracle that she has given and admire her for this heroic act of love. She taught us the value of compassion, empathy, and the importance of treasuring every moment. Her memory will forever serve as a reminder of the beauty of life once lived. In honoring Maurine’s memory let us consider the lives we too can save by following her footsteps.
Though we mourn her untimely departure, we find solace in the hope that she is now at peace with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Maurine may no longer be with us in person, but her spirit, her love, and her cherished memories will continue to bless us all.
Maurine is survived by her children: Sasha Eve Armenta and Alexander Christopher Armenta, Her mom: Rosie Chairez, Her siblings: Anthony (Dolores) Armenta, Lydia Morrell, Timothy (Linda) Armenta, Jennifer Armenta and Michelle (Hector) Gomez. A multitude of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces, Nephews, and Friends whose lives she touched deeply. Though we grieve her loss, we find comfort in the knowledge that she has found eternal peace in the comfort of her Heavenly Father.
She is preceded in death by her father James Anthony Armenta Jr. and sister Justine Lara Armenta. Her Grandparents James and Ofelia Armenta, Manuel and Jenny Chairez. Her Uncles Richard Armenta, Agustin Chairez, Fred Walsh, Alfredo Escobar, Her Aunts Sally Armenta, Adelita Mejia, Stella Serbin and some Cousins.
A Celebration of life will be held on October 27th, 2023 at Bakersfield Community House 2020 R St.Bakersfield, CA 93301.
Maurine’s light will continue to shine through the lives she touched, and her memory will forever be etched in our hearts. She will be profoundly missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in eternal peace.
