Allison, Anna Norma (Kjarsgaard). Norma Allison was born in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan Canada on May 17, 1925. She died peacefully on June 10, 2017 at Western Assemblies Home in Claremont, California which was her home for the past three years. Norma was a beloved mother, grandmother and friend. Though trained as a nurse, she spent over 25 years working with her husband, Norman, in restaurants they owned throughout Orange County. Her great joys in life were her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and her family. Norma enjoyed gardening, cooking for friends and family, sewing, serving her church family and travelling. Hawaii, and an Alaskan Cruise were two of her favorite trips. She was a tireless worker and a loyal friend; always ready to send a card of encouragement, lend a helping hand or a listening ear. She will be remembered for her frequent reminders to all who knew her that, “the Lord is in charge” and “in acceptance [of God’s will] is peace.” She not only said the words; her life illustrated her confidence in these truths. Norma was preceded in death by her husband, Norman, her sister Ruth, and brothers Robert and Alfred. She is survived by her daughters: Janice (Kelly) Osborne, Diane (Jeff) Post, Carolyn (David) Ferdig, and her much-loved grandchildren: Kristen Post, Bradley (Robyn) Post, Kelsey Post, Ryan Ferdig, and Lauren (Nick) Walenga as well as her sister, Elna Kjarsgaard and many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 24th at Fairhaven Memorial Park, Santa Ana California followed by a fellowship lunch at Grace Bible Chapel, Fullerton, California. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Western Assemblies Home in Claremont, California. “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints “(Psalm 116:15).
