Petra C. Martinez

Petra married Jose M. Martinez 58 years ago. Through hard work, they immigrated to the United States and settled in California. They started a family and raised six kids.

Petra selflessly devoted her entire life to her husband, children, and grandchildren. She was a woman who was in tune with the times. Petra had a strong sense of responsibility, perseverance, and strength. She was a three-time cancer survivor, and throughout her life overcame many other obstacles and ailments with grace. She was the heart and backbone of the family and always a source of warmth for her loved ones. Petra loved and cared for her family a great deal, and always made them her top priority. Her dedication was unmatched. Petra will be missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Petra is survived by her husband, Jose Sr., her children; Olivia, Lucila, Rosalva, Ephraim, Jose Jr., and Linda; siblings, Guillerma, Felicitas, and Elvira; 17 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

The viewing will be held on Monday, January 22nd, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Fairhaven Memorial Park.
