Reuben Davis Taylor Jr.

Reuben Davis Taylor Jr. a lifetime resident of Anaheim, California passed away on Monday December 2, 2024, at the age of 91 years old. The love of his life, his wife Marlene, predeceased him in February 2024. After obtaining an engineering degree at UCLA and serving as an officer in the Air Force, Davis returned to Anaheim to work as an engineer at his father’s company, Taylor-Dunn Manufacturing Company, eventually rising to become its President.

After retiring from Taylor-Dunn, Davis was extensively involved in the formation of the Bank of Anaheim, N.A., serving as its Chair for a time. The bank later merged with another, larger financial institution in 1994, after which he fully retired. He and Marlene then enjoyed travelling around the world, and spending time with their many grandchildren. Davis lent his efforts to support the Anaheim Public Library Foundation, among other causes.

Davis is survived by his children Davis III, Steven and his spouse Charity, six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

A Funeral Service will be held Monday, December 30, 2024 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Legacy Chapel at Fairhaven Memorial Park Mortuary, 1702 Fairhaven Avenue, Santa Ana, California 92705, followed by a graveside Burial Service at 2:00 PM.
