Richard "Dick" Jay Anthony

March 2, 1923 - January 4, 2019

Dick was born in Oswego, New York. Dick graduated from high school in 1941 and like many young men he served in the Army as a Paratrooper helping to rid the world of Fascist tyranny. Dick retired in 1989 as Operations Manager for all libraries at the University of California in Irvine. He loved baseball and for many seasons coached Little League. He was predeceased by Virginia, his wife of 66 years. He is survived by his 4 children, Rick, Sandy, Donna and Jim; 2 granddaughters, Kristine and Katherine; and 3 great grandchildren, Sierra, Dylan and Evan. in lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to the charity of your choice.

A memorial service for "Dick" will be held Monday, January 21, 2019 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Fairhaven Memorial Park Mortuary, 1702 Fairhaven Avenue, Santa Ana, CA 92705.

A committal service will occur Monday, January 21, 2019 at 1:30pm at Fairhaven Memorial Park.

A reception will occur Monday, January 21, 2019 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM in the Waverley Gallery at Fairhaven.
