Born on March 1, 1950, in Los Angeles, California, to Jack and Mary Sakioka, Roy grew up walking the rows of vegetables on his family’s farm, with passions for carpentry, cars, and dancing. He went on to help grow the Sakioka family’s real estate business alongside his sister, Phyllis, leaving a lasting legacy for his four children.
Roy is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Irene; his children and their spouses, Jeremy and Angie, Justin, Calvin and Lee, and Hana and Lauren; his seven grandchildren, Jack, Taiki, Kai, Anthony, Devan, and Calee; and his sister. He will be welcomed in his next journey by his parents and the rest of the late Sakioka family.
He will always be remembered for his larger-than-life personality, candid advice, love of good food, and, most of all, his unwavering devotion for his family and friends.
