Dearest Alvaro,
You are with us today, just as you were with us till your last breath here on earth.  Your beautiful smiling face, full of love for everyone, is still before us.
The love you felt and showed to your, and our, Millie, brought joy to all who experienced it.  And, as you must know Dear Al, we all still love and cherish your sweet wifey.  She misses you so, and you are never out of her thoughts.

Dear Millie I am deeply saddened to learn of your loss.  Although your sorrow can not be lessened by words, keep your family and friends close.   Our loved ones live in your hearts they say. Dear Al, we have recently learned that God has called you so soon; it is still hard for us to believe it. I had a great pleasure working with you at WVC for so many years, where I never saw you bothersome; but always smiling. Our Lord called you because He needed you to make Him smile too, and for you not to suffer more. When I heard this sad news, I prayed the Holy Rosary asking Mother Mary to take you to Her Son Jesus, so you can have an everlasting happy life, where there is no more pain. On the next day, a Mass was offered for your soul to rest in peace. Thank you for allowing my husband and me to meet your parents. You were in our minds every time we talked to your dad on the 11 years he was working in our homes, and now you are going to be in our hearts and prayers. We have faith in God that one day your dear family and all of us your friends will be seeing you in heaven. Al, One of the joys of working at WVC was walking over to Admissions and spending a few minutes chatting with you and especially the smile on your face everytime I saw you.  Although I have been retired for 10 years now and living in Washougal, Washington, I still think about the wonderful times we had working together.  You were a true friend to me and I will continue to remember the "smile on your face" and what a joy it was to work with you.

Alvaro was a very kind and nice guy. I no i was not part of the Salsa club .But the time that I new him and his wife.They were so nice .Always gave me the time of day..He will always be in my heart and mind..My heart goes out to his wife and family   steve barajas

Unfortunately I will be out of town and unable to attend, but I will always carry him with me every time I get to see a lovely couple dancing and smiling to a salsa tune. Alvaro was not only a good friend, but a great husband, great person and beloved by all!

We worked together for over 10 years and I will never forget your infectious laugh and your salsa stories! God, please bless my dear friend.

The legacy of a man becomes more defined and obvious when only his life essence remains, a time when we are no longer able to touch, hug or personally express a heartfelt opinion. With his departure, we realized how much meaning he had given to our lives, how many times he had touched our hearts and how often he made us laugh and feel happy.  His legacy is one of love, great kindness, generousity of heart and giving us a constant funny and happy setting. We will miss you brother Alvaro and the lightness and brightness you had given to our souls, the smiles that cheered our hearts and the precious happy family-like environment you had always made us feel.

I always appreciated your friendly face and conversation in the salsa world. I felt comfortable around you, and in my days of salsa-ing single out there, it was nice to have a friendly, honest, comfortable-to-be-around guy to hang out with.
