Antonio Rosano

Tony passed away peacefully at the age of 75 surrounded by his loving wife Maria, family, and friends on August 25, 2013 in San Jose, CA. Born in Ferla, Sicily on July 26, 1938, he moved to the United States at the age of 8. Returning to Sicily at the age of 20, he married the love of his life Maria, and raised his family in California. He has joined his parents Antonio Rosano Sr. and Frances Cameron in heaven. Antonio, a devoted husband of 54 years, is survived by: his loving wife Maria; sister Tina Straaberg (Hyrum), brother Benny Rosano (Veronika), sister-in-law Flavia Ansaldo (Franco); loving children Mike (Dianne), Frances Lisius (Jim), Joseph (Jennifer) and Ron; beautiful grandchildren Jennifer, Melissa, Danielle, Tyler, Phillip and Nicole; and many cherished cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and friends. Antonio was a veteran who served in the US Air Force. Being a very hard worker, he enjoyed several different careers including machinist, real estate, and self-employment. His favorite past-times were gardening, being out in nature, the fresh air in the Napa hills where he enjoyed many years of camping, fishing, boating, time with family and friends, and the local casino. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him. Family and friends are invited to visit Thurs. Aug. 29 from 6 to 9pm with a Rosary at 7pm. At Lima Family Santa Clara Mortuary, 466 N Winchester Blvd. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Fri. Aug. 30 at 10:30am at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, 200 O'Connor Dr. in San Jose. Interment will follow in Santa Clara Mission Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family would like donations to be made to the American Cancer Society .
