

Art lost his battle with lung cancer at home with his wife and son by his side. Art was born in San Francisco and graduated from Harry Ells High School in Richmond, CA in 1958. He attended Contra Costa College until he joined the Air Force in February 1962. He married the love of his life, Judy, September 1, 1964 and they would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this year. During Art’s career, he worked for Collins Radio and Texas Instruments in Dallas, Texas. Art and Judy moved to San Jose in 1969 and he worked for several electronics firms including Cirrus Logic and LSI Logic. Art leaves behind his loving wife, Judy, and son, Christopher, his pre-deceased son, Scott, and pre-deceased daughter, Jennifer Estes. He also leaves behind his sister, Donna Dorian, nephews Joel and Tim Dorian, sister and brother-in-laws Richard and Dorothy Long, and brother-in-law Bill Boehme and extended relatives. Art will be remembered for his brilliant mind and his knack for building and fixing almost anything. He will also be remembered for being a loving and wonderful husband and father. The celebration of Art’s life will be held on Sunday, April 13th at 2:00 pm at Lima Family Santa Clara, 466 N. Winchester Blvd., Santa Clara.
