A very very hard working man who simply wanted to care for and provide for his family. He was an engaging and very charismatic man. His passing was a huge shock to me. I am very saddened by the discovery. I will miss his wonderful sense of humor. His stories and hearing about how he loved his family.  Eross

A hard working man that always talked lovingly about his wife and daughter. We all loved working with him. Ben had a great sense of humor. I would always get to work early and Ben was of course already there, we would talk and sip on our coffees. Ben will be deeply missed.

 My uncle Ben.

I left my uncle and California when I was four years old. When I saw him again, it was as if we never parted. He gave me a feeling of safety, security, unconditional love, and a sense of belonging. When I ran away from home because I was rejected by one side of my family, my uncle Ben and auntie came to my rescue. I could breathe and be a kid for the first time in years. Looking back at that moment, I cry. I cry because my uncle didn’t care that I ran away, he didn’t care about what anyone said about me, and he didn’t judge me. He just shook his head because he knew I was hurting, and he knew all I needed was family. In those moments of my life, I would have to say he showed me love my father failed to show me. The best memories in California were with him, my cousin, and my auntie. From play fighting to singing taunting songs to irritate each other, I look back and laugh. 
They were a perfectly imperfect family that treated me like their own. I will never forget the way they made me feel. Just as before, when I reach those golden gates, I know my uncle will greet me, and we will pick up right where we left off. I love you, uncle. I promise I will continue to make you proud because without you being there for me during that one moment, I would have never built up the strength to get up and try again and continue to try again.  I love you so much.  

My  big brother/in law,  Ben. 
A loving husband, father, son, and brother. He loved life like no other. He lived  the pachuco lifestyle. I have memories of him shining his Stacey Adams smoking a cigarette playing oldies in the back round, not forgetting his coffee always. He had a style like no other.
With a passion for lowriders. . He taught me the lowrider lifestyle. My first ride was in his and my sisters’s fire engine red  63 impala. And so many lowriders he owned after that. He and my father always said to never judge a book by its cover. My father and him were as close as could be, thicker then blood. 
Growing up they made sure to always show us strength and loyalty with compassion. Also, to not take no S!!!! from anyone. 
He taught  me to stand tall and be proud of who we are and never apologize for actions from the heart. He always had my back right or wrong. But made it clear the mistakes I made and made sure I understood to always learn from them.  Which I was thankful for.❤️‍🩹
 Looking at his picture is so hard. Because he was taken so fast, just a few weeks after Dad. And all I can remember is his laugh and smile and the endless jokes hahahah. 
I truly miss You and Dad so very much, to much taken to soon😢
