To My long lost friend Bernie, What a great mentor and hunting buddy. We spent several years together at GE. On our hunting trips we always stop in Reno and played several rounds of black jack. Miss you greatly, god bless.

Bernie Smith....I was sorry to hear the news of your passing. You were always a true friend and mentor especially in my early days with GE. It was always fun talking with you, and listen to your stories and how proud you were of your family. my heart goes out to your  family during this difficult time.

Bernie was my Adopted Brother from the 1st grade in Portland, OR.  He had a tough early life, but matured and became a wonderful, caring Husband and Father. our Mother, that adopted him, was a strong influence in his maturing.  Our 4 years together in the Navy also really helped him to become a wonderful Brother.  I miss my weekly calls to him, catching up on his life.  He will be sorely missed.'

I worked with Bernie for 20 years.  He was a Godsend to the people who worked for him.  He did more nice things for us than anyone ever knew.
I'm heartsick that the old gang wasn't there to say "goodbye" and how much we'll miss him.

Bernie was a great influence in my life and a wonderful neighbor for over 50 years. I have spent so much time and many great memories growing up with the Smith family and Bernie was a strong influence who kept us all in line. May he raise hell with Stan on his next journey.

To Bernie: our fishing, hunting, camping, and vacationing partner. Gone from this Earth, but alive in our hearts forever.

Bernie was a great neighbor. There wasn't anything he couldn't fix.He helped my husband build an extra room out of the garage and it was very well done. He needed projects and he always seemed to find one. He was also compasionate and helpful to anyone who needed his help. He lived a good life and will always be remembered as a special person.
