On the morning of December 4, 2014 Catalina Espinoza went home to meet her Maker and to be with the love of her life, her husband of 64 years Jesus Espinoza. She was preceded in death by her son Jesus Espinoza Jr. her daughters Dora Cancino, Mercy Atondo, her beloved Grandson Micheal Espinoza and her parents Gabriel and Patrocinia Rios and her siblings. She was the last of her family.
Catalina lived every day that our good Lord blessed her with to the fullest. The minute she opened her eyes in the morning, she looked out the window to see what kind of day she was going to have. Was it going to be sunny so that she could spend it outside gardening and feeding her Blue Jays who would come and take peanuts out of her hand or was she going to talk someone into taking her shopping.
What Catalina lacked in stature, she made up with her enormous heart full of love for all who were fortunate enough to cross her path. Her heart felt love was spread amongst her 7 sons, 8 daughters, 65 Grandchildren, 112 Great Grandchildren and a few Great Great Great Grandchildren. She was also blessed by many loving Nieces and Nephew
She was loved by so many that she was known as the neighborhood Grandma. No one came to her house without sitting down to eat as she always had something cooking or they at least had to take some home. From her wonderful tortillas to her refried beans and mole her food was loved by all. Her pan duro( hard bread) was loved by all and often ordered from her.
While she will be greatly missed she will most definitely never be forgotten. Save a place for us and go to work maintaining Gods heavenly gardens, OUR DEAR AND BEAUTIFUL ANGEL.
