

Daniel Carrillo was born November 24,1951 in Hanford California. Just 11 minutes after his twin Brother John. Making him the youngest of 4, to John and Minnie Carrillo.
At 13, he started working in the fields, picking and cleaning cotton until he learned how to drive the tractor at the age of 15 and then moved on to picking fruit from the orchards.
He attended Hanford High school and was placed on the varsity football team as offensive tackle due to his height. He later dropped the sport to become a avid pool player with his uncle Jess.
In 1973 He then made the decision to move to the Bay Area and attend San Jose State University, majoring in Design Engineering. In 1974, he met Phyllis Sanchez and the couple later married in November 1977.
He was a big bay area sports fan. He enjoyed watching The Oakland A’s, Golden State Warriors and The San Jose Sharks, but nothing compared to his passion for football. He was a die-hard Oakland Raiders fan holding season tickets in the Oakland coliseum from 1974-1978.
He started working for Stanford Telecom 1976 and was there for 24 years, where he met a lot of lifelong friends. He worked for other companies such as KLA Tencor, and BAE Systems where he retired. He enjoyed working on the armored fighting vehicles (AFV) which aligned with his passion for vehicle mechanics and classic cars.
He owned a 1940 Chevy pickup truck and a 1951 Chevrolet Fleetline Deluxe. For a short time, he was part of the Alum Rock cruisers car club. One of his favorite pastimes was taking his daughters and grandchildren out for a cruise.
He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife Phyllis Carrillo, daughters Celina Meza, Teresa Carrillo and Christina Carrillo, his sons in law, Israel Meza and Justin Dulin and his 4 grandchildren, Victoria Carrillo, Jacob Meza, Isabella Meza and Delilah Ramirez.
