Dolores Drewes Chapman (Dee) - Entered into rest San Jose, CA, December 15, 2020 after a sudden illness. Dolores was born and raised in San Jose, and was an alumnus of Abraham Lincoln (1947) and SJSU (1974).
She met Bill Chapman and they married in 1948. Upon Bill’s retirement, they traveled extensively in their RV, golfed and enjoyed watching their grandchildren grow. Dee volunteered for many years at the Thrift Box and the Santa Clara Senior Center. She had a wonderful sense of humor, loved to dance and remained active as long as possible. She is preceded in death by her husband, Bill (2003), and is survived by her children Denise (Steve Teixeira), Bill, Trudy and 8 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren.
Due to the current pandemic, Dolores will be privately laid to rest at Mission Santa Clara Cemetery. A celebration of life will follow when it’s safe to gather. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford would be a kind remembrance of a life well lived.
