Edna Mae Silveria passed away surrounded by her family, following a courageous battle with cancer. Edna was born in Alviso, CA to Richard and Marie Amelia and lived most of her life in San Jose, CA. She attended Santa Clara High School and served as a Certified Nursing Assistant for the Council on Aging. Edna was very proud of her Portuguese heritage, including the many cultural traditions. She enjoyed being current on the news of the day, listened to a wide variety of music, and loved a good party. She was the loving wife of the late Richard J. Silveria and is survived by her daughters Elaine Silveria of Milpitas, Sandra Carranza of Newman, Pat Naito of Honolulu, and Renee Silveria of Madera. Her son, Tony Silveria, passed at birth. Edna’s joy was time spent with her six grandchildren: Steven Corrales, Sandra (J.R.) Carranza, Marcus Naito, Jake Johnson-Silveria, Santino Carranza, and Harley Carranza. She was the beloved sister of Betty Hahn of San Jose and Janet Audino of Santa Clara, and her late brothers David, Edwin, and Gilbert Amelia. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Edna touched the lives of many and will be greatly missed. We thank the staff of Kaiser Permanente in Modesto for the care extended to Edna. We invite you to join us in the celebration of her life with Visitation on Thursday, October 2, 2014 from 5-9PM with Rosary at 7PM at Lima Family Santa Clara Mortuary, 466 N.
