Esteban Agustin Lopez passed away peacefully on Monday, December 14, 2015, at the age of 92. Born to Agustin Lopez and Maria Cristina Capote on September 21, 1923 in Los Palacios, Cuba, he was the sixth of ten children. Esteban graduated from the University of Havana with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He resided in Santa Clara, California for 31 years, and was an active member of Saint Clare’s Parish. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Ida, his daughters Silvia Lopez and Mercedes (and husband Joe) D’Amore, grandsons Joseph and Michael D’Amore, sister Gloria Lopez, brother Ovidio Lopez, and several nieces and nephews. We will always remember him as a funny, caring, intelligent, faithful, and loving man. A memorial service is planned for 7 pm on Tuesday, December 22, 2015, at Lima Family Santa Clara Mortuary, 466 N. Winchester Blvd., Santa Clara, with visitation from 5 to 9 pm. Inurnment will be at the Santa Clara Mission Cemetery on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at 10:15 am.
