Evelyn passed away peacefully in her home. Evelyn was born in Crows Landing, Ca. Along with her brother Albert(deceased) and her sister Lucille Barcroft. They were raised on an Almond orchard in Newman, Ca. In 1950 while working at Castle Air force base she met Earl Carmichael and were married for 48 years before his passing. Evelyn was an avid bridge player and 68 year life time member of the Hacienda group of the Santa Clara Women’s Club. Evelyn’s most fond memories were to spend time with her family with many fun trips to Hawaii, Sunday family dinners, and watching her great grandchildren swim. Evelyn is survived by her daughters Candy Volta (Chris),Becky Sanford (Gregg),loving Grandmother of Matthew Sanford(Tricia),Abby Guido(Mike)Lindsey Sanford Ashley Koepplin (Grant)Ally Ajlouny (Jared)Casey Volta loving GG to Dylan,Cohen,Jett,Morgan. She is also survived by her sister Lucille and nephew Chris Barcroft. Rosary, Friday 10/12/18 at 7 pm (visitations 6-9) at Lima Family Santa Clara, 466 N Winchester Blvd. Mass, Saturday 10/13/18 at 10 am at St. Justin Church, 2655 Homestead Rd, in Santa Clara. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Children Hospital would be appreciated.
