

Born on March 19, 1937, in Hollywood, California, Sookie brought warmth and generosity to everyone she encountered. She was a devoted wife to her late husband, Michael Adame, and the heart of her large and loving family. She was the cherished mother of Michael, Kelly (deceased), Susan (deceased), Paul, Laura, and Andy. Sookie's legacy of love extended to her 12 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and an incredible 21 godchildren. She was also a beloved sister, aunt, and cousin to many.
A pillar of the Santa Clara community, Sookie was known for her tireless dedication to helping others. Her kind spirit led her to support numerous causes close to her heart, including Briarwood Little League, the Elks Lodge, local women's shelters, and St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
More than anything, Sookie's life was a testament to the enduring power of family and love. Her home was a haven of warmth and laughter, always open to all. She will be profoundly missed by everyone whose lives she touched.
A memorial service will be held Friday, January 3, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Lima Family Santa Clara Mortuary, 466 North Winchester Blvd, Santa Clara, CA 95050.
Following the memorial service will be a committal service from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at Santa Clara Mission Cemetery, 490 Lincoln St, Santa Clara, CA 95050.
