Gilbert Terrazas Palacios

Gilbert was born in Carthrage, New Mexico to Miguel and Ernestina Palacios on May 18, 1925. Gilbert worked for Kaiser Permanente Quarry as a truck driver in Cupertino, California for 35 years, retiring in 1987.

Gilbert is preceded in death by his parents Miguel and Ernestina Palacios, brothers Mike, Louie, Poncho, Tommy & sisters Socorro, Nestora and Mary. Daughters Terry and Rita.

Gilbert is survived by his brother Tony, sisters Vera, Lala and Vickie. His sons Gilbert, Marcus and Chris. His daughters Shirley, Esther, Leti and Kathy. 25 Grandchildren and 31 Great- grandchildren.

Gilbert was the heart of his family, he was loved deeply and he loved unconditionally. Gilbert will be greatly missed by all whose lives he touched.

A visitation for Gilbert will be held on Sunday August 13, 2023 from 5PM to 9PM at Lima Santa Clara Mortuary at 466 N. Winchester Blvd, Santa Clara, CA 95050. A prayer for Gilbert & the family will begin at 7PM with an opportunity to share your fond memories to follow.

A final viewing will be held Monday August 14,2023 from 10AM- 12PM at Lima Santa Clara Mortuary with a funeral service at 1230 PM located at Santa Clara Mission Cemetery.

A reception lunch will follow the funeral service at 1:00pm located at 466 N. Winchester Blvd, Santa Clara, CA 95050.

Gilbert's family will miss hearing him sing Las Mañanitas on birthday's and his signature kiss on the forehead with a sign of the cross a "God Bless and "Love you". Please keep his love of song and music in your hearts, and remember him with a smile.
