Jennie Faraone was born on January 26, 1932 to Leonard and Anna Fontana. On December 6, 2022 Jennie Faraone left this world to be with her loving husband (Tony) and all of her family and friends that have gone before her.
Jennie was born and raised in San Jose, California where she made a beautiful life for her family. She was an amazing cook and “homemaker”. Anyone who was troubled was always welcomed at the Faraone house as it was always a safe place for broken hearts. It was also a home full of the best parties and Jennie was truly the best host. While Jennie threw many amazing birthdays, celebrations, parties and dinners at the Faraone house, nothing topped the Christmas Eve dinner she held with Tony every year.
Jennie’s cooking was the best. Many Sunday nights were spent eating the best cooked meals around the kitchen table together where you could always count on her to insist you have another helping or three. She instilled a love of cooking in her family who not only cook her most special recipes today but also spend lots of time trying to recreate the ones she didn’t write down. Her sauce, cannoli’s and, a favorite of her great-grandsons (her jello,) are constant staples.
When she wasn’t taking care of the family, she also was bookkeeper for the infamous Tony Faraone’s plastering. No husband loved and cherished their wife more than Tony did and it showed in all the ways they leaned on each other.
Jennie had a special place in her heart for shelties. She raised five beautiful pups and passed the love of shelties and raising dogs on to her family.
In her spare time, Jennie could be found “working out” (socializing) at AVAC, playing golf with her family, singing around her house to all her favorite music (but especially Neil Diamond), taking care of all the beautiful plants and flowers in her backyard, enjoying day trips with Tony to Carmel, and vacationing in her favorite places like Hawaii and Graeagle.
She leaves behind her favorite children David (Donna), Diane, her granddaughter she adored
Shannon (Kevin) and her sweet great grandsons David and Anthony. Her step grandchildren who she loved, Natasha and Dylan (Chrystal), and her great grandchildren Tripp and Lorenzo.
Jennie’s smile and laugh could light up a room instantly. She will be missed greatly by her family but will always remain in our hearts.
