Josephine Margaret Filizetti

Our matriarch and long time resident of Santa Clara passed away on December 26, 2011 after a valiant battle with heart disease. She was 90 years old. Her two sons, Gary and Joseph, her daughter Donna, her daughter-in-laws, Mimi and Camille, survive Josephine. Her beautiful grandchildren; Jennifer, Brian, Jason, Tyler, and Jacqueline plus her four great-grandchildren and her sisters Connie and Gloria, also survive Josephine. Originally from Bronxville, New York, Josephine and her late husband Joe located to Santa Clara in 1962 and remained there for over 40 years. She will be remembered for her great Italian cooking, her sense of humor and her resilient nature. Rosary will be at 7 p.m. (Visitation from 5 to 9 p.m.) on Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at Lima Family Santa Clara Mortuary on 466 N. Winchester Blvd., Santa Clara. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Mortuary. Her final resting place will be along side her late husband Joe at Santa Clara Mission Cemetery. Josephine spent the last 16 months in loving comfort of the Caring Hearts Residential care home located in San Jose.
