June D Mundell passed away on October 7, 2021. She was born
December 19, 1926 in Nevada City, California to Erma Thore Coleman
and John Wright Coleman. She attended Allegany Grammar School and graduated from Nevada City High School in 1945. She completed Dental Training School in San Francisco in 1946.
Over the years she was a resident of San Francisco, Santa Rosa, Menlo Park, Palo Alto, Fort Bragg and most recently Santa Clara. June's career started at JT Campbell Dental Office and continued with Oritz Office, Montgomery Wards, McDonald's, Chevrolet, and Picking Prunes & Hops. Her positions at Prudential Insurance Company (Menlo Park mortgage loan, then SF life insurance, and Menlo Park life insurance) spanned 32 years. June served 12 years with SCPD as a crossing guard, 3 years at Great America and 3 years at Walgreens.
June was proud to have participated in two studies for Osteoporosis at the Veterans Administration in Palo Alto. For 30 years, she was an active member of the National Jim Beam Decanter Collection Club. Her compassion and love of cats gave her many opportunities to volunteer. She received awards from SCPD for donating time for taking care of the snack bar at baseball games. She was a life-long San Francisco Giant's Fan.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Roy C Cook and second husband, Les T Mundell, whom she will be laid to rest by in Santa Clara Mission Cemetery. There are no surviving relatives. June was sincerely grateful to Margaret J Nolin for all her support.
