Louis P. Howe "The Colonel" was born August 8,1922 and passed away November 19, 2017 at the age of 95. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Mary. He had 7 children, Curtis (deceased), Mark, Rick, Lou, Kathy, Susan and Mary, and 11 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 2 great greatgrandchildren. Louis was a World War II veteran, a retired colonel and he served as a bombardier in the Army Airforce and he was in the active reserve for decades after. Louis graduated from Cal Berkeley in 1949 and later got his masters from San Jose State University. Louis was a teacher in the Santa Clara Unified School District and after retirement still substitute taught almost daily until the age of 89. He was very active in his catholic parish, Queen of Apostles. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at 11AM at Queen of Apostles Church, 4911 Moorpark Ave., San Jose.
