Luis M Teixeira

Luis M Teixeira (58) of Milpitas passed away on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at the Kaiser Santa Clara Hospital. He was born in Terceira, Azores and was a resident of Santa Clara County for 49 years. He was a member of various local Portuguese organizations and was the sole proprietor of Luis Gardening Services. He is son of Luis and Maria Teixeira natives of Terceira, Azores and residents of Santa Clara. He leaves behind his wife of 36 years, Maria Olivette Teixeira, daughter Elizabeth Teixeira and son Daniel Teixeira and two grandsons, Robert Alan Da Rosa and Jason Daniel Teixeira and a granddaughter Angelina Marie Da Rosa all of Milpitas; four brothers Luis C (Lucia) Teixeira of Massachusett, Paul (Nasare) Teixeira of Massachusetts, Joe (Teresa) Pinheiro of Hanford-CA, and Manuel (Laura) Teixeira of Sacramento-CA; two sisters Mary Teixeira of Hayward-CA and Fatima DeSilva III of Terceira, Azores. Sister in laws Fatima Leonardo and Lucinda (Leonardo) Silveira both of Gilroy, CA and brother in law Tony (Lucy) Bettencourt of Arizona. Luis leaves behind many nephews, nieces and godchildren in California, Arizona, Oregon and Massachusetts. He is preceded in death by his father, Luis Teixeira, in-laws Arthur and Adelina Bettencourt, sisters Maria Luisa and Maria Herminia Teixeira, brother Rui Teixeira Norbert, brother-in-laws Sergio Da Silva and Manuel Leonardo.

The Rosary will be at Lima Family Funeral Home in Santa Clara on Sunday, January 4th at 6 p.m. Funeral mass will begin at 11 a.m. on Monday, January 5th at St. Claire's Church. Burial will be held at 2 p.m. at Santa Clara Mission Cemetary.
