Passed away peacefully in his home with his family by his side. Loving husband of 64 years to the late Anna Marie Nunes, devoted father to Joe Cindy, Judy Paul and Marlene Dutch. Proud grandfather of 6 and great grandfather of 6. Manuel was a WWII veteran who enlisted in the Army Air Force in 1942. He served honorably as a crew chief in the B-17 Bomber Training Unit until 1946. He married Anna Marie Zizzo, his high school sweetheart in 1944. Manuel retired as Crew Leader "A" from San Jose Water Works after 41 years. Retirement allowed them to travel to the Azores and Manuel's ancestral village. They traveled around the U.S. and most loved vacationing at their cabin in Pioneer, Lake Alpine, and Yosemite. He was an unselfish and generous person who was always willing to help others. He will be greatly missed by all, especially his 4 legged friend, Molly. Vigil Thur., 1/5/12, 7 PM (Visitation 3-7pm), at Lima Family Santa Clara Mortuary, 466 N.
