Nadine Joyce Powers

Nadine Joyce Powers passed away on Tuesday, August 19, one day before her 74th birthday. Nadine was born in San Jose to become a lifelong resident of Santa Clara. After her graduation from Santa Clara High School, Nadine began her career at Wells Fargo Bank. She later worked in accounting, becoming an office manager for the Anderson-Beale Dealership Group until her retirement. Nadine was a collector of Victorian porcelain dolls, which beautifully graced her home. She was also an avid 49er fan, excitedly celebrating each victory. She dearly loved dogs, especially her current companion “Baby”. Nadine was a devoted wife and sister. Her bright smile and sparkling brown eyes warmed our hearts. Nadine is survived by her husband, Jesse Powers and her sister, Marlene Rebello (Bill). She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Alfred and Rose Nunes, and her two foster sisters, Shirley Silveira and Beverly Scott. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2014 from 5-9PM with Rosary beginning at 7PM at Lima Family Santa Clara Mortuary, 466 N. Winchester Blvd., Santa Clara. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, August 29, 2014 at 10AM at St. Martin of Tours Parish, 200 O’Connor Dr., San Jose. Interment to follow in Santa Clara Mission Cemetery
