October 24, 1943-January 1, 2021
Life, it's a beautiful thing and Rafaella Natalia Castro contributed to making many lives beautiful, especially her family. She was born October 24, 1943 in Pomona California. Rafaella was always a ray of sunshine which shined on many people's lives and although she passed away January 1, 2021 her shine will never be forgotten. She is preceded by her father Guadalupe Castro and brother Stevie Castro. Rafaella is survived by her mother Jessie Castro and her siblings Alvino Castro, Rosa Bell, Barbara Castro, Dennis Castro, and Yolanda Hunter. Rafaella was a wonderful godmother to niece Lorie Fox and nephew Michael Hunter.
Rafaella was more commonly known to her friends and family as Natalia. Natalia was like many of the Castro women in the way that she was as tough as nails. Natalia was a considerate person she spent time helping take care of her younger brother Stevie. She was always helping out around the house so she could sneak a peek at the TV. She helped her mom by taking her to run errands and shop. Natalia even taught her younger siblings how to drive in her good old 59" Impala. She cared about everyone and loved to help anyone who needed a helping hand.
There are so many hobbies she had and so many fond memories of her which her family would love to share. She loved watching shows from old westerns, to the little house on the prairie and even WWE/WWF wrestling. She loved collecting baseball cards. She filled pages of albums with cards and they were the coolest thing to the kids. She also loved to crochet. Getting dressed up to go dancing was another thing she enjoyed doing. She loved her oldies and I remember sitting in the car with her as Al Green played on the radio, she sang the whole drive. Natalia was a beautiful person with a beautiful spirit and she will be missed.
