Richard William Parks

Richard was born in Humphrey, Nebraska to Henry Owen Parks and Ida Kellman. He was a WW II Marine Corp veteran, served in the Pacific from 1942 to 1945. In September 1947 he married Geraldine Krong and they spent 71 years happily married. Together they raised two sons, Richard Jr. (Donna) and Keith (Jill). He was blessed with 4 grandchildren, Kari, Bill, Aaron and Elizabeth. He was also great-grandfather to six. Richard and Geraldine enjoyed traveling together and visited 49 of the 50 states. He enjoyed fishing and gardening. Richard had seven siblings. He was predeceased in death by his parents, his wife, and his Grandson Aaron Parks. We are thankful for the exceptional care provided by the staff of Pathways Hospice Care. A special thank you to all that have been a constant and special source of support by visits, calls, cards, thoughts and prayers.
