Bob was born Feb. 20, 1932 in Boston, MA and a 50 year resident of Santa Clara died Jan. 23, 2012. He graduated from Boston College and later married Shirley Gersh, who preceded him in death in 1991 and was also preceded by their grandson Christopher. He is survived by his children, Kenneth and wife Karin, Vernon and wife Lynn, James and wife Pam; grandchildren, Daniel, Maddie and Cooper. Bob and Shirley moved to Santa Clara in 1962. He was a member of the Carpenters Union for 59 years. He worked as a Construction Superintendent for Carl N. Swenson, the Geggatt Co. and Blach Const. Co. retiring in 1990. Bob enjoyed country music and country dancing with companion, friend and dance partner Sandy Jocobsen for 15 years. He started and organized Bingo at St. Justin’s in Santa Clara, St. Joseph Church in Cupertino and Mitty High School. Visitation will be Mon., Jan. 30th from 5 to 9 p.m. at Lima Family Santa Clara Mortuary, 466 N Winchester Blvd.; where the Funeral will be Tues., Jan. 31st at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Santa Clara Mission Cemetery.
