Ruth Serrano

Ruth, 87, peacefully left this life with her family at her side Friday. Born: Riverbank, Ca. to Luis and Josephine Ordonez; a long time resident of Santa Clara. Preceded in death by Fernando J. Serrano her husband of 40 years; siblings, Carlos Ordonez and Margaret Garcia. Survived by children, Harry Serrano (Kathy), Arlene Ramirez (Joe), Dan Serrano (Diane); grandchildren, James Serrano (Jessica) Kelly Serrano, Adrienne Wildman (Devin) Adam Ramirez, Michael and Eric Serrano; great-grandchildren, Olivia and Trevor Serrano; siblings: Erasmo and Luis Ordonez, Julia Sanchez, Celia Pena, Nena Soto; numerous nieces and nephews. Ruth was a loving wife, devoted mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a woman that "always" put her family first. She enjoyed gardening and loved cooking for her family. Mom will always be remembered by her "playful " teasing manner, a wonderful sense of humor & her" big" beautiful smile! She touched so many lives and will be missed by all; but we find comfort in knowing that she will be reunited in heaven with the love of her life after 26 years of being apart. Visitation Tues. June 25th from 5 to 9pm with Rosary at 7pm at Lima Family Santa Clara Mortuary, 466 N Winchester Blvd. Funeral Mass Wed. June 26th at 11am at St. Justin Parish, 2655 Homestead Rd. in Santa Clara. Entombment will follow in Santa Clara Mission Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, family requests donations to the Alzheimer's Association .
