I am so sorry to hear about your loss.  I've enjoyed working with Sharon over the years to help plan the many trips and share the experiences.  She was a very special person.  I will miss her dearly and treasure the card she sent me recently.  You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers....

I can still hear Sharon's distinctive laugh and think back to those good times at IBM.  We did some of the same things LCG, Debugger and COBOL.  However Sharon had didn't get into as much trouble, and I think that made her a much better manager.

A couple of years ago, I was trying to build a partnership with HP and was introduced to my interface; Sharon.  Again the laugh. While friends Sharon was proving again to be a good manager and we had to do what was right for all concerned.  You know that was Sharon.

I was surprised in June of this year and looked up to see next to me was Sharon; she was going through cataract surgery at the same time.  We talked in June about continuing the conversation, but perhaps not right now. 

I'll miss Sharon, and always remember her.

Among the many I worked with and for at STL, Sharon stood out as a wonderful person.  She refined and perfected that "respect for the individual" IBM expected.   To all that loved her, especially to Pete,  words are so insufficient to express my feelings of your loss.

Pete, the extended maternal family relatives of Sharon S. Vernaci, grieve with you at the loss of your wife.  What a shock to us all.  Sharon will be remembered for her graciousness, computer expertise, artistic talent in her scrapbooking, card designing, gardening and home decorating; devotion to family, and calm and very competent response to the difficulties life brings to us.  

Those of the family, who live out-of-state in MA, MO, NY, and VA, regretfully, will be be unable to attend the funeral.  We all have united, however, to send a floral tribute in the memory of Sharon and her deceased family.  Should there be a memorial designation, please advise us.

Pete - I was so sorry to receive an e-mail this AM from Chuck Townsend referencing the obituary in the paper for Sharon.  Please accept my condolences.  Do not hesitate to to e-mail me if there's anything I can help you with.

Pete - there are no words that I can say.  I feel for you and sadly, understand the pain that is in your heart.  Russ is probably making her dinner right now.  My love to you.
