Dear David,

We only knew each other for a short period of time, but your smile always brightened my day. You were my favorite neighbor! I'll miss you!

David, dear friend.  When you would visit, I felt Jesus walking in the house.  I miss you.  I know you are walking with Jesus and breathing the clear air of Heaven.  When I had my mild heart attack so quietly on February 24 I did not know that you were passing by.  Now it makes sense.  Love you, Susan Miller

43 yrs of brotherhood and friendship gone forever. When the Dodgers win, I'll have no one to celebrate with. Best man for my wedding in 94. prayed for him, in this house, every day. He is dearly missed, already.

David was a happy man who was always smiling one of the best times was when David was working at the arcade in Westwood and we chatted amd play games all day as I grew older we talked about music and shows and I really got to know a lot about David and it was a very special day for me he will always be in my heart and I love you

David,

I know that your spirit lives on.  But, oh how I will miss your stories and our conversations.  You were one of the most authentic beautiful souls I have ever met.  I am grateful to have had you in my life.  Thank you for your generosity, kindness, humor and love.

David you always had a smile on your face and your stories were the best to hear. All of them filled with enthusiasm, energy and emotion from the start to the end. Even though you weren't my uncle, you treated me as if I were your niece. You were always so kind to everyone and took the time to talk and show your smile in every conversation.Those you meet on your next journey in life are lucky to have such a great guy like you. 
You will be forever missed here. May god bless you and your family and may the lord continue to watch over them and heal their pain from all of this. I love you David

A kind soul, a pirate and as big of a maverick as his Ford. Will be missed from Lincoln and Arizona, to Wichita, to Tulsa, to Warsaw and all the way back to the horse tracks.

A pirate in so many ways....and now he takes his final sail and I know when he arrived at the pearly gates St. Peter had to make other people wait while David told his stories...and anyone who knew David can still see and hear him telling those stories.  He loved so many things, most of all his family.

David was truly special. I will never forget the conversations I had with David at holidays. He was one of the best people I have ever known! I know we will all miss him forever.

David was one of the nicest people I have ever met. I will always remember the many great stories he used to always tell during Thanksgiving. He was a one of a kind guy who I will miss greatly.

The heart and bright shining light of our family is gone. David was not only my uncle, he was my best friend. Whatever shall we do without you...

Anyone who had met David experienced the most vibrant personality, high energy level, warmth and generosity second to none!  He was a unique character in the most positive way!  He gifted us with wonderful stores about his life, family and experiences and listened with enthusiasm to what you shared back with him.  There was not a fake bone in his body!  So refreshing in today's world.  He loved his family who loved him back in return!  We have wonderful memories to think about when we think of David.

Our family will miss him so much.

Thanksgivings will not be the same without David, he was one of a kind with a beautiful soul. We will truly miss you David!

No one can fill the shoes of Uncle David.  Holidays and family gatherings will not be the same.  His love and energy will be missed.

I will miss his energy and his loving commitment to our family. There was no one like Uncle David.

I will miss his stories and his wonderful prayer on Christmas and Thanksgiving.
