Barbara Jane Leib

Barbara Jane Leib, 95, passed away in her home in Sarasota, Florida on May 23, 2022. Barbara was born in Omaha, Nebraska on January 18, 1927 to the late Fredrick M. Arant and Ethel (Burt) Arant. She was married to James A. Leib of North Royalton, Ohio on November 29, 1947, and was until his death in October of 2016. They were married for 69 years.

Barbara is survived by her sons and their spouses, James D. and Stacey of Sarasota, Robert and Marlene Leib of Sarasota, and Scott and Lila of Manassas, Virginia. She is also survived by six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Barbara was a devout Christian and faithfully served the Lord her entire life. She loved sharing her faith with others and loved giving bibles away. She played the piano gospel style and loved to play for worship at her local church and in nursing homes. She also served in a variety of ministries.

Besides her family, she loved children and babies. She volunteered at a local adoption agency for several years caring for babies until they were united with their new parents.

Everyone who knew her loved her, and she will be missed. A memorial service will be held on Saturday May 28, 2022 at 10:00 AM at the Fellowship of Believers Church at 3333 12th St. in Sarasota.
