Bruce R Halliday

Bruce R. Halliday, 84, passed away on Thursday, Thanksgiving Day November 23, 2017 with his wife, Dorothy (Dottie) by his side. Bruce was a Civil Engineer and Director of Proposals for the Foster Wheeler Energy Corporation in Livingston, New Jersey. He attended Fairleigh Dickinson College in Rutherford, New Jersey. He was also an Army Veteran proudly serving in the AirBorne 101 Division. Bruce was the quintessential gentleman, kind, ready to be of service wherever he was needed. He was also a volunteer for Hospice. Skiing, golfing, kayaking, the beach and anything related to Scotland were his hobbies and interest. Holidays were one of his delights, Thanksgiving and Christmas among the favored. He was an Elder in his church, Pine Shores Presbyterian. God, Hymns and his Church were of primary importance to him. He leave behind his wife Dorothy (Dottie), son Scott of Steamboat Springs, CO; step-daughters Kathie McEntire of Beford TX, Dawn Sanders of Austin, TX, Joseph Niester of Ft. Worth, TX and grandchildren Kenny, Renee, Lilli and Liam. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Vietta along with a sister, Janet. He will be greatly missed. Memorial Services will be held Friday, Dec. 15th at Pine Shores Presbyterian Church, 6116 Crestwood Avenue at 11:00 A.M. A reception will follow.
