Eileen Mayer Daly

Mrs. Eileen Mayer Daly, age 91, passed away peacefully on August 31, 2016 in Sarasota, Florida. A long-time resident of Middlebury, Eileen worked for the State of Connecticut as a Quality Control Supervisor in the Department of Children and Youth Services. After she retired, she moved to Sarasota and resided at Stoneybrook Golf & Country Club. She enjoyed the many activities offered by the Sarasota community and volunteered as an usher at the Asolo Theatre, directed bridge at The Fountains and was a member of the Stoneybrook women’s golf league. In later years, she discovered the joys of technology and spent her time playing on-line bridge with people from all over the world and took great delight in winning any game she played with her family. Eileen is survived by her two daughters: Dana Ford of Watertown and Debra Ziegler of Middlebury and her four grandchildren, Donald “Chip” Ford; Daniel Ford, Gretchen Ziegler and Rebecca Ziegler Eakin. She was blessed to enjoy many years with her three great-grandchildren: Chris, Alex and Eliza Ford. All services are private and will be held in Sarasota.
