Judith Ann Stephenson Kauser

Judith "Judy" Ann Kauser, age 72, of Sarasota, FL passed away on Monday, March 2, 2015 in Sarasota, FL. Born in Toledo, Ohio , she attended schools in Whitehouse OH and Toledo OH, graduating from Libby High School, Toledo with honors. She graduated with a BEd. in Elementary Education from the University of Toledo in 1964. She met her husband, Dennis E. Kauser of Defiance, OH at the UofT and they were married on June 12, 1965 at St. Jude Catholic Church in Toledo. They made homes in Toledo, Edgewood MD, Corning NY, Caton NY, Muskogee OK, Millville NJ, Monroeville PA, Sedalia MO, and Sarasota FL. . She is survived by her husband and two children, Jeffrey ( Lori) Kauser of McKinney, TX and Julie(Mark) Apelt of Hilliard, OH, and by four grandchildren, Brenden, Haley, Jessica and Kali, and brother Robert Stephenson of Sylvania, OH . She was preceded in death by her parents Kelley "Pat" Stephenson and Ruth Naomi (Pelton) Stephenson. Judy taught grades from pre-kindergarten to High School Special Ed, and seven years as 7th & 8th grade math teacher at St. Francis School in Vineland NJ. She volunteered teaching prison inmates and children's religious confirmation preparation. Judy enjoyed playing bridge, traveling and camping with her family and then especially driving her Mustang convertible. Always an avid sports fan, Judy rooted for Phillies, Steelers, Jets, Royals, Penguins and any home team in the town she resided in at the time. She was active in Right-to-Life, Mustang Clubs, and fundraising for cancer and Alzheimer's Disease. Judy is buried in St. Paul's Cemetery near Paulding, OH.
