THERE IS A TRAIL OF BEAUTIFUL MEMORIES”
Marilyn Sue Ferguson (Watz) passed away peacefully in her home on February 2nd in Bradenton, FL at the age of 74 with her husband and daughter by her side. Marilyn was born on March 18th 1947 in Saginaw MI to Ilene Louise Watz and Robert Louis Watz. She had many fond memories of family life growing up and loved to tell stories of her happy life.
Marilyn is survived by her husband, James Lynn; children, Jennifer Wegner, Joshua Ferguson, and Scott Lynn; grandchildren, Brandon Ferguson, Ryan Ferguson, Rachel Schneider, Jordan Schneider, and Cole Schneider; siblings, Bob Watz, Carolyn Watz and David Watz. She is preceded in death by her parents; Robert and Ilene Watz, siblings; Janice Kubiak, Jeannie Maczik, and James Watz.
In June of 2019, Marilyn was diagnosed with an extremely rare form of cancer called Primary Peritoneal Serous Carcinoma. She elected not to tell many of her diagnosis and chose to continue her normal life until December of 2021 when she and Jim stayed close to home caring for one another.
Marilyn and Jim became soulmates over 25 years ago, during which they traveled the world. Together, they visited over 22 countries in Europe, China, Africa, Caribbean, North American, and The Far East. They also enjoyed taking road trips to visit family and friends, exploring the states and historic towns. When in Florida, they loved spending time outdoors; running, biking, kayaking, rollerblading and long walks.
Marilyn was a care free easygoing spirit that brightened a room with her presence. She made friends easily and treated everyone like family.
Marilyn will be missed by many!!
We hope to join family and friends to celebrate Marilyn, once it is safer to travel.
