Probyn Thompson Jr. of Sarasota, passed away on October 24th, 2018 after a lengthy illness. He is preceded in death by parents Mary Steele Reives and Probyn Thompson Sr., first wife, Elizabeth James Thompson, and daughter, Valerie Jackson.
Probyn is survived by his wife, Golda; his three children, Probyn Thompson III (Latonja), Mary Thompson Hunt (Jason) and Patricia Thompson Sigmon (Steve) from his first wife, Betty; his three grandchildren, Jessica Melton (Douglas), Gina Thompson, and Dion Richardson (Rashanee); and four great grandchildren children, Isaac, Vivian, Kennedi & Maya Lynn.
Probyn will be fondly remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, loyal family man and friend. A 2pm receiving followed by a 3pm service on Tuesday, October 30th will be held at Robert Toale and Sons Palms Memorial Park, 170 Honore Ave., Sarasota, FL 34231.
