Sally Jean Bahlman

Sally Jean Bahlman, born January 4, 1931 of Sarasota, FL passed away on May 4, 2017 The Memorial Service will be held at the Bay Village auditorium, 8400 Vamo Rd., Sarasota, FL on Monday May 8, 2017 at 1PM. Her ashes will be taken to her beloved cabin in Canada. Sally graduated college from Grinnell College with a degree in Physical Education. She was married for 46 years to Bill Bahlman. She retired from Holmstad Retirement Community in Batavia, IL as Activities Director prior to settling in Sarasota. Sally was actively involved with PEO - an organization of Women helping Women reach for the Stars. She volunteered for Tidewell Hospice of Sarasota for 25 years and also many years at Historic Spanish Point. She selflessly touched so many lives and was loved by many. Sally is survived by three daughters, Karen Helm of Coppell, TX, Holly Sanchez of Moore, OK and Cindy Nelson of Yorkville IL, and six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
