Sandra Sanzone

Sandy was a true Florida native, born in Palm Beach, Florida on September 17, 1948. She moved to Venice with her family at an early age. Sandy graduated from Venice High School, and received her BSN degree from the University of Florida School of Nursing. She was employed as a Registered Nurse at Venice Hospital for 35 years.

Sandy was predeceased by her first husband, John Hollowell, and by their beautiful daughter Jodie. She was also predeceased by her second husband, Phil Sanzone.

Many Venice residents knew and remember Sandy's parents, Joe and Dorothy Ryan, and her two beloved brothers, Michael Ryan and John Ryan. She is survived by her granddaughter, Felicia Taylor; two nephews, Jay Ryan and Christopher Ryan; and a niece, Michelle Ryan. Sandy was much loved by her sister-in-laws, Anne Ryan and Kathy Cochrane and will be greatly missed.

There will be no public memorial service. Sandy's memory may be commemorated with contributions in her name to any of her favorite charities, including WEDU PBS, SPARCC, and Suncoast Humane Society. Sandy's legacy will live on through a fund for nursing scholarships in the name of "Ryan Family Memorial Scholarship" which was established by Sandy.
