
Rests in eternal peace. Tom was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, attended high school at Sacred Heart, and college at The University of Louisville. At U of L Tom was a business major, a three time Missouri Valley Conference Defensive Tackle and was Co-Captain of The Cardinal’s football team his senior year. He was also chosen to play in the North/South game. Tom was drafted by the NFL as a second round draft choice and signed with San Francisco 49ers. In the off seasons Tom began his real estate career eventually specializing as a broker in commercial real estate. He was a past treasurer, president, and director of the Sarasota Board of Realtors, a member of the Commercial division, was chosen Realtor of the Year and reached Realtor Emeritus Status at the Sarasota board. Tom was a part owner of his real estate companies and a past contractor and developer. Active in his community Tom was a coach for Ringling Redskins, he served at treasurer and past president of Kiwanis South, was a past director of The Chamber of Commerce, served on the Cotillion Board, Youth Orchestra fund raisers, and supported many other organization fund raisers. He was a member of The Field Club for 30 years and a member of The Oaks for the past 16 years. He is predeceased by his loving daughter Kimberly Holzer. Survivors include his wife Jean, his daughter, Amie and husband Will Green and five grandchildren. A private family gathering will be arranged.
