“A great man who was once here, is no longer. He lost himself by inches, over the course of years, until he was all but gone. Until only his body had yet to realize. And now, the long ugly fight has ended, and he is at peace. If you have a moment today, spare a kind thought for his children and for the woman who loved him.” – Stephen King (brother-in-law).
Alex was selfless, had a great sense of humor, and a contagious laugh. He was a family man at heart and could always be counted on for a rousing game of cards over a pot of coffee and a pack of cigarettes. Everyone who met Alex loved him, and he would do anything and everything for those who needed a helping hand. Alex spent his career at SaskTel. A highlight of his retirement was two memorable trips to the UK and narrow boating on the canals. Alex will be greatly missed by his partner Linda King, his three children and eight grandchildren - Stacy (Chad) Hanson, Taylor, Tory, Abby and Drew; Kelly (Todd) Antill, Ayla and Grace; Tyler (Nixy) Wilson, Andres and Alejandro; and his siblings Linda (Keith) Flaman, Danny Wilson, Elizabeth Wilson and Andrew Wilson (Teresa). In respect of Alex’s wishes, no service will be held. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Alex’s name to the Saskatchewan chapter of the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada (2-706 Duchess St. Saskatoon, SK S7K 0R3).
