It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts we announce the passing of Andy Sebok, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend on November 23, 2024. Andy was predeceased by both of his parents, as well as numerous family members and friends.
Andy was born on June 9th, 1937 in McDowell, SK. to Louise and Andre Sebok. Andy grew up on a farm near St. Louis, SK., with his sisters Blanche (Gord) Long and Vi (Dave) Demory. After moving to Saskatoon, Andy met the love of his life Edna and they shared over 64 wonderful years of marriage. Together they raised two daughters Monica and Nicole (Jamie van Dam). Andy was a proud Grandpa to Tristin Sebok, Brenden Carey and Jadyn Carey with whom he spent countless hours playing with, riding bikes, and cheering them on at their numerous activities. He also had numerous nieces and nephews.
Andy was kind hearted and would go out of his way to help anyone. He had an amazing sense of humor and loved to laugh and joke around. Andy loved the outdoors, camping, fishing, hunting, hiking or working in his yard. He loved to travel with his family, along with their numerous pets. Andy was an avid sports fan and spent many hours cheering on the Oilers, the Riders and the Blue Jays. Andy also loved country music and could often be heard singing along to his favorite songs, the sound of which his family will forever miss.
A true craftsman, Andy built the family home himself, with the help of Edna and friends. He worked hard throughout his life, starting at a very young age, including 29 dedicated years at Motorways. Andy was always busy and when he retired, he continued to work around his home and yard. He was known for his ability to build or fix anything, his skills and dedication were admired by all who knew him. Andy and Edna worked on many projects over the years and together they were always a great team, they could accomplish anything including making their house a home and their yard a sanctuary. They were best friends who did everything together.
Andy’s memory will live on in the hearts of his loving wife, and his family and friends, he will be forever loved and missed by all.
A celebration of Andy’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the charity of your choice. Thank you for keeping Andy and his family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
