April 22, 1948 ~ January 2, 2015
Barb quietly passed away surrounded by her loving family and friends. Affectionately known as "Kiddo", Barb was an accomplished cook who enjoyed spending time in the kitchen and preparing delicious meals. Her deviled eggs were always a special treat! In the summer, you could find Barb in the garden growing beautiful vegetables. Her sense of humour endeared her to everyone she met. Barb had the unique ability to make other people laugh and live in the moment; she loved phoning folks just to say hello, chat, and laugh. She never failed to send out Christmas cards every year, even after her stroke made it difficult to do so. Barb will be dearly missed by all who loved her. She is survived by husband, William Hancock; sister-in-law, Hilda Waldner; brothers-in-law, Jim Morrell and Stanley Morrell; nephews and nieces: Brian Waldner (Judy, Marcy, Jason), Shelley Hosaluk (Bob, Kristofer, Rhianne), Ruby Hosaluk, Dianne Morrell, Reg Morrell (Kiefer, Hannah), Randy Waldner (Kara), James Waldner; and dear friend, Kyra-Lee Lomheim (Pat). Service Sunday, January 11, 2015 3:00 p.m. at Mourning Glory (1201 8th Street East). Memorial donations in Barbara’s memory may be directed to the Heart and Stroke Foundation (279-3rd Ave North, Saskatoon, S7K 2H8).
