Barry Gilbert Cammidge

Barry Gilbert Cammidge, age 74, of Saskatoon, SK, passed away June 30, 2025, at St. Paul’s Hospital in Saskatoon, with family by his side. Barry was a son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, uncle and so much more.

He was born in Yorkton, SK, on September 3rd, 1950. From a young age Barry found joy in spending time with his cousins on visits to the farm in Roblin, MB. He also developed a passion for cars and autosports. Barry began his career as a draftsman with a company that, at that time, was known as Underwood McLellan Surveys (1966) Ltd, which later became Tri-City Surveys and is now Meridian Surveys. In 2019, Barry retired after 50 years of service. He would say “I got to travel the world without leaving my desk.”

Barry married Sheryl Litzgus in 1977, and together, they raised 4 children. His greatest joy in life was raising his kids. In 2007 Barry married Margo Jones.

He is survived by his children: Lynne Cammidge, Holly Cammidge (Glenn Wallace), Laura Cammidge (Monica Stein) and Dean Cammidge; his grandchildren; Kasi Lynne, Emma Rose and Hudson Dean; his brother, Ken Cammidge (Celestia); and numerous nieces and nephews.

Barry was predeceased by his parents; Norma and Kenzie (Clifford) Cammidge; his twin brother, Larry; his older brother, Merl; his younger sister, Donna; and his second wife, Margo.

He spent most of his life in Saskatoon, but always found a home away from home in Roblin, MB. For the last 18 months, Barry lived at Kensington Gentle Care Home. The Cammidge family would like to thank all the caregivers for their kindness and care. The family would also like to extend a special thanks to all the staff at St. Paul’s Palliative Care Unit.

The Celebration of Life for Barry will be held on Friday, July 11, 2025, at 1:30pm at Mourning Glory Funeral Services – Windsor Chapel in Saskatoon, 704 Windsor St. A private family interment for Barry will be held at a later date in Roblin, MB.
