"Lovingly remembered...greatly missed"
Betty was born to Charles and Mary Harvey, the third in a family of eight children. She proudly served in the Air Force from 1942-1945. While working at the University of Saskatchewan Post Office, she married her sweetheart, Lex, on July 8, 1950. Betty and Lex were lovingly devoted to their three children. Betty was an active member of the St. Timothy's Anglican Church. Betty and Lex were passionate about square dancing and danced their way through their retirement years. The last seven years of Betty's life were spent at Preston Park where she extensively involved herself in her exercise classes, card games, Century Club, dances and social time with the many dear friends she made along the way. She always cared greatly about the well being of others and approached life with kindness and enthusiasm and a wonderful sense of humour. Her loss will be felt greatly by the many lives she touched. Betty is survived by her children Alexis (Dennis), Susan, Darren (Marianne); 9 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and sisters Ethel, Earla and Vesta. Betty's family wishes to thank Dr. Reynolds for her compassionate care. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at Circle Drive Alliance Church – Chapel of the Prairies (3035 Preston Ave. S.) in Saskatoon. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice. Arrangements in care of Chelsea Krentz - Mourning Glory Funeral Services (306) 978-5200.
